One of the shooters, described as a white or Hispanic male, wore a gray hoodie and red shoes, while the second shooter was dressed in all black. Both individuals concealed their faces with balaclavas or ski masks. Sheriff Salazar noted that the shooters wielded a weapon known as a "Draco," a smaller variant of the AK-47. The use of this firearm, characterized by a short barrel, results in rounds that are tumbling upon exit, causing devastating impact on impact. Investigators recovered 32 rounds from the scene, specifically 7.62 rounds, indicating the severity of the attack.
