Hey {NAME}, There are a lot of questions we see when it comes to investing in startups. - What should I invest in? - When do I see a return? - How much should I invest? There are different answers to these questions depending on each investor's situation but there’s also a few proven strategies we’re going to dive into over the next few weeks. Strategy one: invest more. Most of us have heard of the 80/20 principle - where 80% of outcomes come from 20% of the causes. In investing, that could look like 80% of returns coming from 20% of the companies. The principle is popular, but the data around investing shows an even more drastic shift in the numbers. One [study]( by the Kauffman Foundation shared that out of every 10 angel investments, just one or two on average provided 90%+ of a portfolio’s returns, kicking back roughly 10X-30X each. Others–like famous angel investor Jason Calacanis (Uber, Robinhood, Calm)–recommend a portfolio of at least 50 startups over a three to five year timeline. If that sounds like a tall order, look at it this way: If you invested just $100 into one company per month for the next five years, you’d have a 60-company portfolio under your belt. To read more on this investment strategy, check out today’s [blog](. If you’re ready to start adding more companies to your portfolio, today we’re featuring companies that are closing soon. It’s the last chance to invest in some of these companies! Closing Soon [Responsum Health]( creates and manages free, disease-specific apps with newsfeeds for people with chronic conditions.
