Our trans communities -- especially trans young people -- need, and deserve, to be safe and cared for, and to have access to lifesaving gender affirming healthcare. And while attacks on trans rights are nothing new, Governor Greg Abbott has taken it to a new level, and we canât let him get away with it. Under his new order, Child Protective Services are investigating lifesaving healthcare as child abuse, which puts both young, trans Texans and their families at risk. This is unacceptable, and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms.
