The Postal Service says it will run out of cash later this year, which would lead to layoffs and even more delays. Can the Biden administration save America's favorite government agency? Some say it's an easy fix: Just give the Postal Service more jobs to do. At the top of the wishlist for ways the USPS can bring in more money involves turning post offices into banks. This is not as outlandish as it may sound, especially because postal banking was a popular thing for much of the 20th century. With cooperation from Congress, the Biden administration could make this happen. And step one is getting that Trump donor to stop being postmaster general. Recode's Adam Clark Estes spoke to several experts about ways to save the Postal Service and how the new president could actually make the agency more useful.
