[Michael Reagan] Breaking From Reagan Reports for America Former President Donald Trump’s choice of impeachment lawyer suggests he may be preparing to relitigate his claims of a stolen election during his Senate trial, [the Washington Examiner reports.]( Last week, it emerged Trump had retained Butch Bowers, a South Carolina elections and ethics lawyer, as he prepares to fight an “incitement to insurrection” impeachment charge. Trump has argued the election was stolen from him based on claims of election fraud, while his allies believe the trial is doomed to fail anyway. A Senate vote on Tuesday showed all but five Republicans voted in favor of a motion to dismiss the suit on grounds it was unconstitutional, thereby indicating the upper body would likely lack the two-thirds vote necessary to convict in a trial.
