GPHOF looks like a sleeping giant to me. When the market understands what is going on here, there could be fireworks 𧨠--------------------------------------------------------------- *Sponsored by Lifewater Media. Please see disclosures below At one point in the day, GPHOF was even up over 10%, which provided plenty of intraday action. I still think the chart is setting up perfectly, though no one ever knows when (or if) it will really start to break out higher.  One encouraging note was the impressive volume. GPHOF had the highest volume of the year so far, and that is usually a leading indicator of a new trend.  Make sure you are keeping an eye on GPHOF right now. I was looking through some of their materials yesterday and I saw this graphic. It really puts into perspective just how big the demand for graphite is, how much it is growing, and also that 0% of it currently comes from US production. We are relying way too heavily on a critical component of the new EV generation. Having supply locked up âat homeâ is a very important piece of security our country needs. Here is a recap of the GPHOF strategy⦠With the United States currently 100 percent import-dependent for natural graphite, Graphite One is planning to develop a complete U.S.-based, advanced graphite supply chain solution anchored by the Graphite Creek resource. The Graphite One Project plan includes an advanced graphite material and battery anode manufacturing plant expected to be sited in Washington State integrated with the development of the Graphite Creek resource. Also, with surging demand, comes surging prices. While things cooled off a bit in mid-2022, the price of graphite appears to be on the rise once [again](. In case you missed it yesterday, I re-posted the highlights of the email I sent you. Take a moment to look this over and review all of the points I think are important about GPHOF right now⦠________________________________________________ It is a âspecial situation,â because it doesnât fit the nice tidy, little package of what I normally scan for, but it checks all of the boxes I look for when it comes to an idea with breakout potential. â
When you think of what is powering the âelectric generationâ of society, whether it is your Telsa, your iPhone, or even your lawnmower â regarding those batteries, what is the first thing that comes to mind? You are probably going to say âlithium.â At least that is what I would say, since they are called âlithium-ion batteries,â after all. But, get this. As I did some digging into the topic, I discovered that GRAPHITE is really the main component here.  Now, assuming you want to trade it, how many graphite companies can you name⦠Iâll wait. Me too. I couldnât come up with a single name.  Then I started to research the topic, and I came up with a few obscure names, but there is one stock that kept popping to the top of the list. That company is called: Graphite One (Ticker: GPHOF) I am sure you havenât heard of this one. I didnât either until I started my [homework on the topic recently](. GPHOF is headquartered north of the border in Canada, thus the â5 letter ticker symbol,â if that is a new thing for you. I think you definitely need to have this stock on your radar right now for a number of reasons. For starters, look at this absolutely pristine chart⦠That âsqueezeâ pattern is just irresistible to me. Look at how many days it has been building now?  And then, consider what has happened in the past when this stock has traded at these levels on the daily indicators? The last time this happened, GPHOF shot from a low of $.68 in the middle of January to over $1.45 just a few weeks later⦠for a staggering 113% move higher. That is why I love lower-priced stocks. They have the potential to make moves that would be impossible for a large-cap stock to replicate. The way I see it, graphite represents a âbackdoorâ market opportunity brought about by the clean energy transition. According to the [World Bank](, graphite accounts for nearly 53.8% of the mineral demand in batteries, the most of any single component. Lithium, despite being a staple across all batteries, accounts for only 4% of demand. And the demand for graphite has never been stronger. In fact, demand is projected to grow 400% in the next few years⦠A typical electric car contains more than 200 pounds of what they call âcoated spherical purified graphite.â That means that it takes 10 to 15 times more graphite than lithium to make a Li-ion battery. Here is how graphite stacks up for growth through 2030. As you can see, it is only second behind lithium. And news sources are starting to pick up on this⦠Graphite is so essential to a lithium battery, that Teslaâs Elon Musk [famously said](, âOur cells should be called Nickel-Graphite, because primarily the cathode is nickel and the anode side is graphite with silicon oxide.â He went on to [say]( that it was his âparamount concern.â The Biden administration has already allocated $6 billion (as part of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill) towards developing a reliable battery supply chain and weaning the auto industry off its reliance on China, the biggest EV market and leading producer of lithium-ion cells. Among the minerals key to winning the global EV race, graphite arguably is the most significant and should be a top priority for the U.S., given it is the essential ingredient in electric vehicle batteries. There is one company that almost certainly will have a role to play in this endeavor â Graphite One (Ticker: GPHOF) â which is advancing the [Graphite Creek property](, situated along the northern flank of the Kigluaik Mountains, Alaska, spanning 18 kilometers.   Located on the Seward Peninsula, Graphite Creek (in early 2021) was given High-Priority Infrastructure Project (HPIP) status by the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Committee. This is crucial because the HPIP designation allows GPHOF to list on the U.S. governmentâs Federal Permitting Dashboard, which ensures that the various federal permitting agencies coordinate their reviews of projects as a means of streamlining the approval process. In other words, having HPIP means that Graphite Creek can be fast-tracked to production, which is highly valuable since you canât just flip a switch on a new mine. It takes decades of planning. The Canadian energy minister [said](, âThe average mine takes 15 years to bring into production,â he said. âIn the context of the energy transition, we donât have 15 years if weâre actually going to provide enough of the minerals to be able to support just the battery development. So it behooves us to bring everybody into the room to figure out how to do it.â The U.S. Geological Survey has [cited]( GPHOFâs Graphite Creek as the countryâs largest known graphite deposit, and recently extended that status to âamong the largest in the world.â GPHOFâs President and CEO Anthony Huston said, âThe USGS report underscores our confidence that Graphite Creek [is truly a generational graphite resource](.â âIt anchors our supply chain strategy â from our mine to our planned advanced materials manufacturing plant and our recycling facility â to build a 100% U.S.-based graphite supply chain.â This is critical I think, since nearly all graphite right now is produced overseas. This should be considered an area of national security. Mike Dunleavy, Governor of Alaska [said](, âGraphite Creek is the largest deposit of graphite in the Nation, and would be a superior domestic supply of this critical mineral, which is necessary for modern batteries, renewable energy technology, and many other high-tech uses.â When it comes to technical analysis, I leave that to the pros at Tickeron. Here is what they have to [say]( about GPHOF right now⦠Bullish Trend Analysis The Stochastic Oscillator suggests the stock price trend may be in a reversal from a downward trend to an upward trend. 57 of 64 cases where GPHOF's Stochastic Oscillator exited the oversold zone resulted in an increase in price. Tickeron's analysis proposes that the odds of a continued upward trend 89%. The Momentum Indicator moved above the 0 level on April 28, 2023. You may want to consider a long position or call options on GPHOF as a result. In 99 of 126 past instances where the momentum indicator moved above 0, the stock continued to climb. The odds of a continued upward trend 79%. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) for GPHOF just turned positive on April 28, 2023. Looking at past instances where GPHOF's MACD turned positive, the stock continued to rise in 46 of 54 cases over the following month. The odds of a continued upward trend 85%. Following a +4.54% 3-day Advance, the price is estimated to grow further. Considering data from situations where GPHOF advanced for three days, in 171 of 212 cases, the price rose further within the following month. The odds of a continued upward trend 81%. Of course, just because there have been some amazing results from previous moves like we are seeing now, you canât guarantee that is what will happen in the future. But, it sure is nice to see how often things have worked out when from similar events like we have today. Overall, I think GPHOF is a great âspecial situationâ stock to consider right now. It is tackling one of the biggest issues in the supply chain for rechargeable batteries, which is quickly becoming one of the pillars of everything we rely on. There are just a handful of other publicly-traded companies that focus on graphite, and I think you should really [invest some time into learning more about what GPHOF is all about](. As always, before you ever decide to invest in a stock I think it is very important you understand the risks and also the potential rewards. You can learn a lot about [GPHOF]( by visiting their [website]( and digging deeper into the opportunity right now. I think you will love this as much as I do!
