Good Day undefined, When it comes to winning and losing, it often comes down to “timing.”

Good Day undefined, When it comes to winning and losing, it often comes down to “timing.” It’s funny because in life, we always hear the expression, “It's all about timing.” If you’re looking to learn how to better time your trades then keep reading because I feel this brief but highly effective lesson can help you. Let me first tell you about one key aspect to my trading, undefined. I love to trade off charts and I love to trade off support and resistance. [In this case, I’ll be focusing on resistance.]( Resistance is when a stock price runs up to a level it had previously tested and then fails to break. It might do this 1 or 2 or even 10 times in a row, until finally it either breaks above or it just crumbles back down. I like to say that resistance is like a “ceiling.” On Friday, I saw the markets running up in the pre-market, but around 8:51am EST the SPY hit $384 about 3 or 4 times in a row but never broke through = RESISTANCE or ceiling. When making my trade, in this case buying simple options puts, meaning I felt the price of SPY could hit $384 again and then head DOWN, I like to wait for a rally to that resistance price, then look to enter the put trade. My goal here is for price action to reject or hit its head on the ceiling once again and then fall back down. Take a look at the chart, undefined. You can see the pre-market area of resistance at 8:51am to 9:00am and then around 9:33am when you see the green “B” for my BUY of my PUT trade; right at resistance just like I planned. My timing was PERFECT here! Shortly after my entry, the SPY price fell from $384 to $381.50; a $2.50 drop in about 10 minutes and you can clearly see the red “S” (2 of them because I sold part of my puts and then sold the rest on a further fall) where I took my 25% win or $646 profits. You might be asking yourself, undefined, how can you make 25% on a trade when the price of SPY only fell .65%? That’s the power of options, undefined, and that’s why I love to teach people how they work and of course how I trade them. You see, options are much more volatile than the share price of SPY straight up. Had I made the exact same trade but instead of buying options on SPY rather I purchased stock on the SPY, I would have made $2.50 dollars for every one share I purchased. So say I shorted 3 shares or roughly $1,100 worth of SPY at $384 (remember, in this case I was looking for the price to drop) and covered my short at $381.50, I would have netted $7.50 profits. Instead, I netted $646 dollars profit in the same exact time = power of options! Do you see now, undefined, why I love options trading? If this is something you would be interested in learning more about then do me a favor, [check out this link right here.]( I’ve made a custom pricing program recently that I feel is great for any interest level.
