That’s because mainstream media coverage is typically about all the big names: Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google. Every single one of those stocks is down between 20-60% this year. And since these are some of the biggest companies out there (with a combined market cap of $3 trillion), they do make big waves when they crash… In fact, these 5 companies alone account for nearly 10% of the S&P 500. In other words, when they’re up they can lift the entire S&P 500… But when they’re down, they become a heavy anchor that pulls down the whole index. However, the S&P 500 is not the only market index out there… Ever hear of the S&P 600? It’s been outperforming the S&P 500 all year (first time since 2016). In fact, just this month the S&P 600 grew 103% more than the S&P 500. A big reason is because they don’t have these major large-cap stocks dragging them down. Instead they have small-cap stocks like… PBF Energy Inc (PBF) that’s up 241% this year… Consol Energy Inc (CEIX) that’s up 177%... And Lantheus Holdings (LNTH) that’s up 149%. Those top 3 small-cap stocks have done better than any of the 500 large-cap stocks in the S&P 500. In fact, the Wall Street Journal just last week said: “Small-cap stocks are bouncing back…” And last week Yahoo Finance said: “This relative outperformance by small caps is catching the attention of Wall Street.” There’s a few reasons for this, including the impact of a strong U.S. dollar and because most of these companies aren’t as affected by worldwide events since they mostly do business stateside. Which is why I was so excited to hear that [Jason Bond will be hosting a live “Small-Cap Sniper School” on Thursday.]( In his free event he’ll talk about all the opportunities he’s seeing with small-caps and micro-cap stocks and why he thinks they’re great for short-term trades (1-4 days). Jason will share real life examples of how he’s taking advantage of this opportunity we’re in right now with small-caps. And what he specifically looks for before he enters one of these trades. This event is free and I highly recommend you check it out. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
