The main reason why I target smaller cap companies isn’t that they are cheap, low-dollar stocks

[image] The main reason why I target smaller cap companies isn’t that they are cheap, low-dollar stocks. While I consider that a bonus...it’s not at the top of the list. The main factor is small-cap stocks tend to react more to news and catalysts. Why? Because there aren’t as my Wall Street analysts covering the stock. For example, only 3 analysts cover IVERIC bio, Inc. (ISEE), one of Wall Street’s largest percentage gainers on Friday. [image]( Compared to Apple (AAPL) which has more than 23 analysts covering the stock. When is the last time you saw Apple move +50% in a day? You see, with fewer analysts covering small caps, it’s up for traders to digest the catalysts and market news. And it’s during that price discovery where we see tons of volume, price action, and volatility. Now, I don’t just jump into these stocks because someone on Twitter or WSB likes it. Not at all. I’ve been trading small caps for over a decade, and have taught thousands of folks my favorite setups, patterns, on how to trade these volatile gems as well. For example, I was up early, before the market open, sharing my plan on ISEE “The rooster for Friday is ISEE. Trading higher after Apellis reported results from its Phase 3 DERBY and OAKS studies. Stifel initiated coverage with a buy rating and price target of $22. Cowen, Wedbush, and Credit Suisse all raised their price targets. This is a gap and go or gap recovery and go day trade in which I’m looking for a buy zone between $10-$12 and range to the upper teens. As always, from my entry I’d like to see 10-20% so if I’m in at $10, then $11-$12 is my exit goal. Remember, I only take trades I believe have a big range to resistance, but that resistance isn’t something I sit around to try and hit. Instead, I look for a chunk within the range, that makes sense?” - Sent to JBP and WSO subscribers at 8:41 AM ET. I explained: - The catalyst - The setup - My trade plan [Tonight at 7 PM ET](, we’ll talk about this setup. As well, others I took over the week, and how I spotted trades in BBIG, GEVO, GSAT, and CEI. Most importantly, I’ll be sharing with you my BRAND NEW watchlist for the upcoming week. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
