Every major news outlet does that day in and day out… recounting another retail investor who got in over his or her head making a bet on a soon-to-be-bankrupt stock, or worse… an airline. There’s a reason Robinhood investors on Reddit’s Wall Street Bets forum call their dumbest bets “YOLO trades.” Because they hardly ever work out. Sure, if you swing for the fences (after all, Greg Maddux taught us that chicks dig the long ball) every once in a while you’ll hit a home run… But what about all the other times?
