[RagingBull Elite](
Dear trader,
Maybe this has happened many times to you...
You âbuy lowâ on a stock after a big selloff, assuming at this point it can only go higher⦠yet it proceeds to go lower, much lower.
The stock you initially thought was a bargain turns out to have even less value than before. And youâre left standing there⦠holding the bag.
Itâs a classic rookie move. But itâs happened to just about every trader at one point or another, even our RagingBull pros.
Why?
Because even our trading pros once bought into the conventional âbuy low, sell highâ advice.
But not anymore.
Take Jason Bond. When it comes to spotting bottom in a stock, he learned early in his career that you donât need to.
Instead, he trades momentum. He looks to get a piece of the overall trend, oftentimes buying high.
Thatâs because if thereâs one thing his experience has taught him, itâs thisâ¦
When a stock breaks out of a key level, it attracts lots of buyers. And when it attracts lots of buyers, it rockets even higher.
So when Jason sits down each morning during the pre-market, heâs not looking for âbargains.â
What he does instead is perform a quick scan to identify the top gainers.
[Find out how Jason scans for momentum in his Master Class training here.](
At this point, there are only a handful of repeatable patterns Jason looks for when deciding what trades to put on within the top ten gainers heâs found.
[Jason explains 4 of these breakout patterns in great detail in his Momentum Hunter ebook.](
Take, for example, the bull flag pattern...
This pattern looks exactly as it sounds.
Upward momentum forms the appearance of a flag pole, whereas the resting period that follows forms the appearance of a flag.
These two formations together indicate that a breakout is underway.
And thatâs when the big money is made.
But keep in mind, Jason trades bearish momentum as well.
Just as a handful of patterns indicate a breakout is underway, some patterns indicate we need to prepare for a breakdown.
We can make money by trading breakdowns as well.
[Jason outlines these breakdown patterns, as well as everything else you need to know about trading momentum, in his brand new Momentum Hunter ebook.](
