How to Become Wealthy Dear Reader, I hope that you had a chance to start reading Think and Grow Rich

[Image]( How to Become Wealthy Dear Reader, I hope that you had a chance to start reading (or listening to) Think and Grow Rich, and that you are enjoying it as much as I did, although it’s been many years since I read it (I suggested it as a good read and adjunct to our most recent email on Mindset.) Mindset is the first aspect of WealthWise. The second is Mechanism. A mechanism provides the component parts that work together in a machine or system. And in WealthWise we’re interested in the mechanism to lead a wealthy life; the how-to. I like to think of the mindset as the “inner software” within your awareness that allows you to run execute the commands to being wealthy. The Mechanism is the things you do (or programs you run) on top of the Mindset. Together they form two of the three tenets of WealthWise. On [WealthWise Podcast](, I think that the mechanism of building and living a wealthy life is best demonstrated by the specific actions that our guests took on their way to building wealth in their lives. That includes both consciously creating the wealthy mindset, and the actual steps taken to build wealth. It’s important to note that the WealthWise approach to creating wealth combines three tenets – mindset, mechanism, motivation – but combined… you need all three! Mechanism in Action There are four episodes of WealthWise that I think best demonstrate the mechanism by which to build a wealthy life. But before I share them there’s a quality that every one of our four guests demonstrates. In fact, you will find this quality demonstrated by every guest in every episode of WealthWise. Tenacity. This is one reason why working on the mindset of building wealth is so very important. With the wrong mental attitude, you can even beat yourself up mentally when you succeed. But with the right mental attitude and mindset, you can get through a lot. In Navy SEAL and other elite special forces training the recruits who get through the grueling “basic” training versus the ones who quit, do so through having a tenacious, mentally tough attitude. ([See this article on developing mental toughness](.) I doubt that any of our guests would have succeeded on their journeys to lead a wealthy life if they had not stuck with it through everything that came their way on the path. And in some cases, our guests share stories of struggling against such great odds that they came very close to giving up, but continued anyway. So, keep on going! “Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” – Thomas A. Edison “Genius is 1% talent and 99% percent hard work...” – Albert Einstein “Success is never final; failure is never fatal; the only thing that counts is courage.” – Winston Churchill Four Mechanics of Building Wealth The four episodes of WealthWise that best demonstrate the mechanics of building wealth are; - [Jason Bond](: Jason lifted himself out of $250,000 in debt while working as a PE teacher by learning how to trade stocks. He is now a multi-millionaire, though from his podcast interview you can immediately tell that Jason was already highly motivated and demonstrated extreme tenacity, and was motivated to lead a wealthy life right from the start. - [Kyle Dennis](: Making over $7 million by the time you are 29 is not something many people can claim they’ve done, but the conscious, purposeful way that Kyle did it is a good example of how building and leading a wealthy life can happen at any time. Another quality apparent in Kyle’s interview is that he basically became a millionaire even though he was already wealthy. Hear more about his remarkable journey [here](. - [Nathan Bear](: Ever seen Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe? That always reminds me of Nate Bear. Tenacious in spite of being knocked down again and again and eventually he worked out the mechanics of how to build a wealthy life for him and his family. And the moment he received that telephone call while he was in Toys ‘R’ Us; amazing! [Hear how he did it.]( - [Connor Shelefontiuk](: A wealth shift in Connor’s mindset was the catalyst that propelled him forward towards multi-millions in his new business. Starting with just 8 bucks in his bank account, Connor built a fortune. Anyone could have done it… it’s just that [Connor did](. And Next Up? Motivation! Over the last couple of emails we’ve shared some ideas about WealthWise, and about the mindset, and the mechanics of what we mean when we say leading a wealthy life. Next, I’ll speak about motivation, but perhaps not in the way you might be thinking of. Until then, continue to consider the ideas we’ve shared here as you build your own picture and plan to lead a wealthy – or wealthier – life. You can do this! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
