It’s a busy time with Radiopaedia 2021 on the horizon. So much so, we are hiring! [View this email in your browser]( Radiopaedia 2021 Some months just fly past in the blink of an eye. That's probably because we've barely been able to come up for a breath of fresh air while we work on the upcoming-sooner-that-you-think-so-register-now-why-are-you-waiting-Radiopaedia-2021-virtual-conference. I know it looks like it all just happens automagically but trust us, it doesn't. We have to make changes to the website and implement many backend improvements to ensure R21 is even better than last year. We have to sort out 70 or so new talks and make sure the speakers get us their great talks on time and that they are awesome. We have to get English subtitles transcribed for all the talks. And on and on and on. Meanwhile, the day-to-day work of keeping Radiopaedia growing and humming along needs to occur. Thank goodness we have an amazing team of [volunteer editors]( to help. Every day there are literally [scores of edits]( on the site. New cases are added, articles are edited and multiple-choice questions are written. Each of these edits needs to be moderated and reviewed. I get tired just writing about this. Anyway, we are very much looking forward to R21. Bigger and better than last year. I hope you will join us! [FIND OUT MORE]( Featured cases A lovely case of [thumb printing in ulcerative colitis]( case contributed by Henry Knipe. Here is a selection of cases featured on Radiopaedia or our various social media channels. - [Chronic calcific pancreatitis]( - [Primary synovial chondromatosis]( - [Cerebellar agenesis]( - [Polyostotic melorheostosis]( - [Ulcerative colitis - thumbprinting and lead pipe signs]( - [Ulnar styloid pathological fracture from gout]( - [Ewing sarcoma - fibula]( - [Basilar artery thrombosis]( - [Teeth in an ovarian dermoid cyst on hip x-ray]( - [Sphenoid wing dysplasia]( We know that you are probably not a programmer. But there is a good chance that you know someone who is. Thanks to your support and the support of our sponsors we are in a position to hire an additional developer. That will allow us to speed up our feature development and generally make the site even better than it is. We are looking for someone who is a skilled programmer and is interested in working from home for an organisation that is genuinely trying to make a difference. Anywhere in the world is fine by us. If you know someone who is interested or someone who may know someone who is interested, please let them know and point them to us. [FIND OUT MORE]( Everlight Radiology has been a long time sponsor and supporter of Radiopaedia, and has also been hosting free Webinars with invited speakers. This month, our very own founder Frank Gaillard will be giving a talk on imaging of stroke. If you can't make it, don't worry. This talk will be the basis of two talks that Frank is recording for Radiopaedia 2021. Check out the R21 program [here](. In any case, if you are awake and free to jump online for the Everlight Webinar, I'm sure Frank will be pleased to have someone turn up. It would be awkward if he was there on his own. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
