What to buy â and how much youâll save â at our favorite retailers today
The day after Christmas is one of the big retail holidays, coming in behind heavy hitters like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But that doesnât mean the deals arenât good â stores know that you probably got some cash or gift cards from your parents over the holidays, or at the very least, a check from grandma.
Below is our list of the places worth shopping today, with suggestions on what to buy at each. But keep checking back â [weâll update the site throughout the day].

At [Shopbop], take 25% off all sale items with the code TREATYOURSELF. (That means things are marked down up to 75% off from their original retail prices.) If you need practical stuff, thereâs a ton of [underwear] on sale from [Calvin Klein], [Hanky Panky], and [Cosabella], as well as denim from [Leviâs], [Frame], [DL 1961], and more. A lot of the bags are going fast, but itâs worth scrolling through for things like the Rebecca Minkoff [Mara Saddle Bag] (now $206.50) and [Mini Leo Tote] (now $136.50), and this great everyday Botkier [Bowery Tote] (now $148.80).
Over at COS, take 30% to 50% off workwear and denim. This [Oversize High-Neck Dress] is just $41, the [Skinny-Fit Cropped Jeans] are $30, and these [Slip-On Suede Shoes] in a powder pink are $88.
Granaâs holiday sale is billed as the â[No-Markup Sale],â which means exactly what it says: Everythingâs the price it would be, minus the markup. If you need sweaters, this is where you should shop today: The [Merino Crewneck] is just $31, the [Cashmere V-Neck] is $40, and the [Merino Mock Neck] is $32.

Creatures of Comfort is hosting an up-to-60%-off sale today with some really good outerwear and cold-weather accessories up for grabs, like the long [Kendrick Jacket] ($455) and the [Chenille Short Gloves] ($84). A few favorites in the dress section include this [Mockneck Dress] ($140) and this incredible silk [Marlene Slip Dress] ($130).
Itâs Boxing Day in the UK, but you can participate stateside by taking up to 50% off at ASOSâs holiday sale. A few things to get you started from the shoe section: the silver [Magical Loafers] ($18.04), the black patent leather Chelsea Boots ($30.82), and the suede block-heel [Simone Heels] ($24.80).
Reformationâs [sale page] has a lot of velvet on it if youâre still trying to find something to wear for New Yearâs Eve (or just really love velvet). Both the [Silas Dress] and [Irving Dress] are on sale for $174, and the [Chemise], available in four different colors, is $149. If you have a wedding coming up, the flowy [Bennett Dress] is marked down to $174, and the [Isabella Dress] is just $116.
A smaller deal but on great stuff, [Of a Kind] is offering 35% off [Editions] with the code EDGEOFSEVENTEEN. These [Howlite Deco Studs] by Dream Collective will be $91, this [Marigot Sleep Shirt] will be $58.50, this [Silver Aurora Band] by Tilda Biehn will be $135, and these Orly Genger by Jaclyn Mayer [Half Moon Earrings] will be $42.25.
The shoe brand LD Tuttle is having a big sale through January 3rd, where you can take 60% off the [fall collection]. The over-the-knee [Torch Boots] are $597 (from $995), and [The Sky ankle boots] are $317 (from $635). The [boots pictured above] are $375.
Re/Done is offering [up to 60% off] a ton of jeans, so if distressed vintage denim is your thing, youâll definitely want to check out this sale. (One handy feature: You can sort by size.) Prices today are generally in the low- to mid-hundreds. And if you donât need jeans, this 1960s [Striped Slim Turtleneck] ($63) is great.

[A Short, Probably Incomplete List of Things I Bought Because I Edited Pieces About Them This Year]
[Blundstones]
By Meredith Haggerty
Look, dear Racked reader, I ask you: What would you do if you read about nice things all day?
For the most part, in my capacity as senior editor at this website, I try to remain both 1) [a fashion outsider] (couldnât really change that if I tried) and 2) annoyingly untrusting, at least when it comes to dealing with brands. Brands are (still) [not our friends]. When youâre editing [retail business stories] or [critiques of the culture], you donât want publicists in your ear, sending you free stuff, no matter how much you love stuff. I ignore a lot of emails (sorry), I donât get a lot of packages, and I have definitely told more than one writer to âfollow the money!â in complete earnest.
And it doesnât end there, with the basic journalistic integrity Iâm supposed to have for work. Iâm actively concerned, especially now, about our societal and my individual overconsumption, enjoy giving long lectures about âsocietal implications,â and I really enjoy rolling my eyes and feeling superior when things are hideously expensive (I see you Vetements, and I donât think your whole thing is fun at all). I can be a bit of a prig, tbth.
But also this year I bought a dead cow carcass jacket that costs a normal/responsible personâs rent, because I read about it in a story I was editing. So.
[Hereâs a year in review of great pieces of writing and the possibly suspect purchases they inspired, all of which I love. >>]

The $1 Korean Skincare Pouches That Will Save Your Skin This Winter
[Insert alt text here]
[Aritaum Moisture Pouch Pack, $1]
It took me at least 25 years to realize I have dry skin, and that you can simultaneously have dry skin and zits, and also that moisturizing wonât break you out more â in fact, it might just help break you out less. These revelations were life-changing to me, someone whose vanity revolves around her skin, skin that has never been perfect.
When Korean beauty picked up steam in the States, I got right on board, layering product upon product in the hopes of glowing like a goddamn blemish-free moonbeam. But it wasnât until I traveled to Seoul myself (to report on the [Olympics of hairdressing] for this very website) that my admittedly over-complicated, hyper-specific routine was truly refined. And itâs all thanks to a small pouch of... well, Iâm not totally sure whatâs in it beyond hyaluronic acid because I canât read Korean, but you just have to trust me here.
The pouches are from [Aritaum], a chain of stores that is [popping up all over the US] now; they come in a bunch of varieties, but the blue Moisture formulation is what Iâm talking about. I use it every night, on top of essence and two other moisturizers (I know!) and under my prescription retinoid and some Aquaphor (I know!!).
Iâm convinced itâs the one product in my arsenal that keeps winter flakiness at bay, based on the scientific study I perform every time I stupidly decide not to use it, only to have severe regret the next morning. Itâs that hyaluronic acid, baby.
Also, itâs cheap. SO CHEAP. [One-dollar-a-pouch cheap]. And each lasts weeks! (The screw-off top is crucial.) I like to buy them in bulk, stash them in my fridge, and give them out to anyone who asks me for skin recs. Iâve bought the pouches off eBay, but now you can purchase them right from the Aritaum site. Even with international shipping, ten pouches (months and months of wonderful goo, just for you) runs less than $25. â[Julia Rubin], executive editor
