Dear Friend, Welcome to this week's Trade of the Week by TradePartner where we show you one trade

Dear Friend, Welcome to this week's Trade of the Week by TradePartner where we show you one trade you should be looking into for the week. We do this every week for you, so keep an eye out for another one next week. Open Positions Summary BIDU We rolled this position last week and it remains stable. We’re holding. VIX We’re having a bit of a pullback this week heading into the Fed announcement tmr. We are holding through the announcement and seeing if we can get further reduction in volatility from last week. If by some chance the market sells off, we’ll see a pop in volatility but we will see if this pushes volatility beyond last week’s peak. If you are in healthy profit, I would take it here since some of you got in at much better pricing. Typically, this is normal behavior and a push beyond last week’s highs would require a quick and sizable move down so we shall wait and see. BABA BABA is looking good and the floor we were eyeing in the $120 area is holding. Barring any crazy selloff, we will stay in this position into 2022 This Week’s Play GLD We are looking at Gold this week. The market can always go higher into perpetuity. But while the rules that govern its movement are based on many principles, our favorite is Chaos Theory. Now, we are not going into any explanation of it here, but it is worth mentioning because we feel the market risk is to the downside here over the next year. Does that mean the market will go into bear mode? Who knows? But we do feel there’s not much to the upside. We believe that because the laws of Chaos Theory point us in that direction for now, so we follow along and defend.   GLD has been in a range for quite sometime and we feel she is primed to breakout of it soon. I personally, do not like being bearish on gold as I feel it will forever be a “safe haven” so we decided to make a bullish play here at the $195 strike which is right around the highs set in August of 2020. We’re going out to Sept 2022, here’s the play: Buy 3 GLD 23Jan20 195 calls @ 4.04 Sell 3 GLD 22Sept16 195 calls @2.41 It is a bullish calendar and the debit on this trade was 1.63 on 3 lots. Exit parameters are if GLD hits $195 within 4 months or a credit of 2.97 can be had, whichever is first. If she sells off, we will watch the greeks on lower strikes and roll when necessary.
