Featuring an Intel® Atom® C5125 2.8 GHz 8-core processor with Intel® QAT and SR-IOV technology, the TS-855X supports up to 128 GB DDR4 memory and comes with 10GbE/2.5GbE network ports. Storage capacity can be flexibly expanded, and 25GbE network ports are supported by installing a compatible PCIe card. With all-inclusive business backup, virtualization and cybersecurity applications, SMBs can achieve high-performance, high-speed and highly-expandable storage and virtualization environments with the lowest TCO. “QNAP’s HDD/SSD hybrid-storage NAS series helps SMBs get the right balance of both performance and cost,” said Andy Chuang, Product Manager of QNAP, “the hybrid 8-bay TS-855X with 8-core computing power, hardware acceleration, 10GbE/2.5GbE connectivity and PCIe expandability is the most cost-optimized and up-to-date data storage and backup solution for SMBs.” The TS-855X comes with four UDIMM DDR4 slots (8 GB preinstalled) that can be upgraded to 128 GB to support greater multitasking and higher workloads. Error-Correcting Code memory is also supported to deliver server-grade performance and reliability for business-critical enterprise IT environments. Besides one-port 10GbE connectivity, the two 2.5GbE RJ45 (2.5G/1G) ports can also be combined to enable [SMB Multichannel]( for up to 5 Gbps transmission speed. Two built-in M.2 PCIe NVMe slots provide support for SSD caching or Qtier™ auto-tiered storage (available in QTS) to further upgrade NAS performance. Two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots allow users to install 10GbE/25GbE network cards and enable SR-IOV for improved I/O throughput. The TS-855X is certified by VMware® vSphere and Microsoft® Hyper-V for virtualization storage. Businesses can achieve massive storage capacities by flexibly connecting QNAP JBOD expansion units to the TS-855X to meet long-term storage and archiving requirements with maximized ROI. The TS-855X provides an all-in-one [backup and restoration solution]( supporting versatile cloud-based services for simple hybrid cloud deployment. IT staff can regularly take [snapshots]( to protect NAS against ransomware and create virtual private networks using the QVPN service for secure remote data access to your NAS. Windows®, Linux®, UNIX®, Android™ virtual machines can be hosted using Virtualization Station. Docker®, LXD, and Kata Containers can be run using Container Station. Users can find and install a multitude of apps from the App Center to expand the application potential of the NAS. Running the QTS operating system as standard, the TS-855X can be flexibly switched to use the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system for greater reliability and data integrity. --------------------------------------------------------------- Key Specifications - TS-855X-8G: Tower model, hot-swappable 6x 3.5-inch SATA 6Gbps hard drive bays and 2x 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s solid state drive bays, Intel® Atom® C5125 eight-core 2.8GHz processor, 8 GB DDR4 UDIMM memory (up to 128 GB), also supports DDR4 ECC memory, 1 x 10GbE RJ45 port, 2 x 2.5GbE Gigabit RJ45 ports, 2x M.2 PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots, 2x PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots, 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) ports, 1x USB 2.0 ports For more information and to view the full QNAP NAS lineup, please visit [www.qnap.com](. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
