A holiday message ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  [Pastor Rick's Daily Hope](  {NAME}, Thanksgiving will be here soon, and I didn’t want to miss the chance to tell you how thankful I am for you. You are an encouragement to me and to people all over the world who are hearing the Good News of Jesus every day, thanks to your prayers and support. That’s why I want to encourage you during this season of gratefulness . . . because maybe this year didn’t turn out the way you hoped. And it can be tough to feel grateful when life is difficult. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV), the Apostle Paul tells believers to, "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." Now, notice what this verse does NOT say. It doesn’t say, "be thankful for all things." God doesn’t expect you to be thankful for the bad, broken, or evil things in this world. No, Paul says to be thankful in all things—for this is God’s will for you. Friend, I want you to know that even if life is tough right now, this could be the most meaningful Thanksgiving you’ve ever had. Here’s why . . . Even in difficult times, you can always be grateful for: - The grace God has shown to you "You have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God" (Ephesians 2:8 NCV). - The plans God has for you "I know what I am planning for you," says the Lord. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future" (Jeremiah 29:11 NCV). - The home God is preparing for you "There are many rooms in my Father’s house; I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2 NCV). Every good thing in your life—air, water, food, love, beauty, truth, hope, and so much more—is a gift from God. So, no matter what happens, you can always be grateful to God for something good that’s in your life. I want to help you fill your heart and mind with this powerful truth, so here’s a [free resource on gratitude]( I created for you.
