Dive deeper into a reimagined rendition of a beloved classic. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  [Pastor Rick's Daily Hope](  {NAME}, You’ve probably heard this before, but I’ve found that the best truths in life bear repeating . . . and this is a good one! God loves you. He accepts you. And he has an incredible purpose for your life. Maybe you think, Of course God loves me. Certainly, he accepts me. And sure, he has some sort of plan for me. But then from somewhere deep inside, your heart whispers back, As long as I earn it. And that is the age-old lie that keeps so many people from experiencing the fullness of God’s love and living the abundant life that Jesus came to give you. You see, God’s acceptance of you is not based on your performance. It's not based on anything you do. It’s based on who he is and what Jesus did. Titus 3:7 says . . . "Jesus treated us much better than we deserve. He made us acceptable to God and gave us the hope of eternal life" (CEV). When you become a believer, God says to you, "You are acceptable because I created you, love you, and sent my Son to die for you." And this is so important for you and me to understand because the deepest wounds in life often come from the rejections we’ve faced. That’s why we spend so much of our lives trying to earn acceptance from others—parents, peers, friends, anyone. This drive to be accepted influences the kinds of clothes we wear, cars we drive, houses we buy, and careers we choose. It makes life a competition, an exhausting race to earn what we think we need the most and a never-ending struggle to keep it. We’ve all felt this way before, myself included. And I believe it’s why so many people respond eagerly to the Good News from God’s Word they hear on Daily Hope. Because the Gospel sets us free from the trap of trying to earn what we most need. The Bible says in Ephesians 1:4, "Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes" (NLT).        Now that’s a truth worth repeating! Just think . . . You have been chosen by God himself. Before he chose to make the sun, the moon, the oceans, the birds, and everything else, he chose you—and prepared the way for you to be brought back into the loving relationship with him that your heart craves. That’s how acceptable you are to God. And because you’re accepted—loved unconditionally—God has a purpose for your life. Which is why [I’m excited to send you a copy of my book, The Purpose Driven Life, as thanks for your generous support this month](.
