By Rick Warren â 03/28/2021 [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Pinterest]( [Email]( âFor this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.â John 3:16 (NLT) God loves you so much that he sent Jesus on a mission of love with a message of love. The Bible doesnât say God has love; it says God is love. Love is his nature; God is love. God created the entire universe. He created this planet, and he created the human race. Then he created you because he loves you. God made you so he could love you and so that you could love him. Godâs love for you is the reason your heartâs beating right now; itâs the reason youâre breathing. Godâs good news is that he loves you on your bad days just as much as he loves you on your good days. He loves you when you can feel his love, and he loves you when you canât seem to feel his love. He loves you regardless of whether or not you think you deserve his love. There is nothing you can do that will make God stop loving you. You could try, but you simply canât do itâbecause his love for you is based upon his character and not on anything you do, say, or feel. God loves you so much that he sent his only Son, Jesus, into this world, âso that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal lifeâ (John 3:16 NLT). When Jesus stretched his arms out as wide as the cross, he was saying, âI love you this much! I love you so much it hurts. I love you so much Iâll die for you so that I wonât have to live without you.â Ephesians 3 says Godâs love is so wide, long, high, and deep that humans canât fully understand it. As you go about your day today, know that God is loving you at every moment, no matter what. [PLAY todayâs audio teaching from Pastor Rick >>]( Talk It Over - What one thing have you done that you have difficulty believing God loves you in spite of?
- How important do you think it is to feel Godâs love, especially on your bad or rough days?
- Since God is love, how is his love part of your relationships? How do you express his love in your relationships? Accept Godâs love and forgiveness today. God made you so that he could love you and you could love him. And he most clearly showed his love for you when Jesus died on the cross for your sins. Are you ready to repent of your sins and accept the forgiveness and love God is offering you? If so, pray this today: âDear God, I want to have a real, deep, and abiding faith in you. I confess that I have sinned and that I need your forgiveness and mercy. Thank you for loving me so much that you sent Jesus to die for my sins, so I can be forgiven. âJesus, you promised that anyone who believes in you will not perish but have everlasting life and eternity with you in heaven. I believe in you and accept you as my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you and spend the rest of my life serving you. Amen.â If you just prayed to accept Jesus, please email me at Rick@PastorRick.com and let me know about it. Iâd like to send you some free materials to help you start your journey with Jesus.
