[Pamela Pugh for Congress]( {NAME}, We know what Republicans mean when they call a Black candidate a "DEI candidate" like Donald Trump did at the NABJ conference this week, and I take personal offense. In fact, I’ve been called a “DEI Candidate” and the like in push polls, on social media, and in all sorts of other ways. And if people think diversity, equity, and inclusion are bad things… phew, let’s just say they’re probably not voting for Dr. Pamela Pugh on Tuesday anyway. Listen, we know why, in particular, Republicans are attacking Black WOMEN who stand up and speak our truths – whether it’s me advocating for our pro-ceasefire, pro-peace, pro-worker campaign, or VP Harris taking her opponent Donald Trump to task. If you were offended by what you heard Donald Trump say to the National Association of Black Journalists (know your audience, sheesh), then good – I was too. Let’s do something about it. I have a primary election against two pro-Israel, privileged, moderate, milquetoast, establishment candidates on Tuesday, and we are making our final preparations as we speak. Right now, there is still limited time left to boost our paid ads, organizing, and get-out-the-vote budget to ensure we win on Tuesday, August 6th. If you can pitch in a donation to help make our victory a reality and ELECT MORE BLACK WOMEN to work towards a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive democracy, please donate $20.24 or any amount right now: [secure.actblue.com/donate/]( If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your contribution instantly: [DONATE $8]( [DONATE $20.24]( [DONATE $100]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m Dr. Pamela Pugh, and I’m a Saginaw native running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District. I've spent my career fighting to improve the lives of Michigan residents through public health initiatives, and as the Chief Public Health Advisor for Flint I played a pivotal role in standing alongside Flint residents during the water crisis. As a public servant, I currently serve as the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, a statewide elected position. I believe in standing up for the people and fighting for our democracy, our children, and our future. I've lived in Michigan's 8th District for my entire life and it will be the honor of a lifetime to represent my community in the House of Representatives. I'm relying on grassroots contributions to fuel my campaign to victory — [so please chip in what you can right now!]( Our email list is an important tool for us to reach Democrats and activists in Michigan and around the country.
