[Pamela Pugh for Congress]( Hi {NAME}, We are Dr. Pamela Pugh’s sisters, Yvette Pugh and Canika Pugh. We wanted to share with you some of our fondest memories growing up with our sister – Dr. Pamela Pugh – and why she is the only candidate who is qualified and willing to stand up for the rights of Michiganders running for this seat. [But before we tell you all about “BamBam,” will you donate to her end-of-quarter deadline right now to make sure her campaign has the resources they need to send a qualified woman, a scientist, a public health expert, and an advocate for the people to Congress?]( [Send BamBam To Congress]( Growing up during her early years in the close-knit working-class community of Carrollton here in Michigan’s 8th District, amidst the rich tapestry of diversity and the distinct aroma of sugar beets and rhubarb, our family thrived on the values of community, compassion, and education. Pam, lovingly nicknamed BamBam by the Pugh family, was the middle child, in between the oldest (Yvette) and the youngest (Canika). And if it isn’t clear to everyone watching American politics in 2024, we think Washington D.C. needs more middle children like BamBam, who are experienced in breaking up fights, advocating for themselves, and making sure they don’t get lost between the eldest child and the baby of the family. That’s BamBam. And of course, our Dad and Mom who were educators were pleased to see BamBam become a “career student” (that’s how we used to tease her every time she went back to school) and earned her DrPH in Public Health from the University of Michigan after previously getting her Masters of Science in Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. And while our sister Pam is a “cool nerd,” (she thinks she’s cool anyways… you be the judge. LOL!), she also has a compassionate side and is always seeking justice for others. BamBam doesn’t leave anyone out. She brings people together to fight for justice, and thinks of others who get ignored by the system. This background and disposition made Pam into the candidate she is today, and with her end-of-quarter deadline coming up at midnight tomorrow, we are asking you if you can dig out your credit card and donate to fund the campaign of a kind, compassionate, intelligent, beautiful inside and out, dancefloor queen, and Auntie to all - not just her nieces and nephews. [Please make a donation to our sister BamBam’s campaign before her deadline, her campaign team let us know she’s still $3,405 from hitting their goal before midnight tomorrow night.]( Thanks for your support, – Yvette & Canika Pugh --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m Dr. Pamela Pugh, and I’m a Saginaw native running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District. I've spent my career fighting to improve the lives of Michigan residents through public health initiatives, and as the Chief Public Health Advisor for Flint I played a pivotal role in standing alongside Flint residents during the water crisis. As a public servant, I currently serve as the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, a statewide elected position. I believe in standing up for the people and fighting for our democracy, our children, and our future. I've lived in Michigan's 8th District for my entire life and it will be the honor of a lifetime to represent my community in the House of Representatives. I'm relying on grassroots contributions to fuel my campaign to victory — [so please chip in what you can right now!]( Our email list is an important tool for us to reach Democrats and activists in Michigan and around the country.
