Add your name. [Pamela Pugh for Congress]( {NAME}, Gaza is on the precipice of a public health crisis at a historic scale. As a country, the U.S. continues to deliver promises, but not comprehensive aid or support for a permanent, humanitarian ceasefire. [We must keep the pressure on our country’s leaders and Congress to act: Join me in calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and access to aid for millions of civilians and children on the precipice of widespread famine in Gaza →]( Dr. Pamela Pugh is the only pro-ceasefire candidate in this race. [Sign on to stand with Dr. Pugh in support of a humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza →]( The news out of Gaza this week continues to grow even more grim. The world is watching as a public health crisis unfolds: Experts are warning that famine in Gaza is ‘imminent’ for more than half of North Gaza’s population. In Rafah where more than a million Gazans are now displaced, children are starting to die of dehydration and malnutrition due to lack of access to food and water. At least 32,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, and over 100 aid workers were killed in the last week trying to deliver basic necessities of food and water to the millions more who are facing starvation. As Martin Luther King Jr. said: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. [Let’s speak up together and keep the pressure on Congress and President Biden to stem the tide of this public health crisis before we hit an even worse tipping point and Gaza plunges into mass famine. Act now and sign your name →]( [sign on]( In service, Dr. Pamela Pugh --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m Dr. Pamela Pugh, and I’m a Saginaw native running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District. I've spent my career fighting to improve the lives of Michigan residents through public health initiatives, and as the Chief Public Health Advisor for Flint I played a pivotal role in standing alongside Flint residents during the water crisis. As a public servant, I currently serve as the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, a statewide elected position. I believe in standing up for the people and fighting for our democracy, our children, and our future. I've lived in Michigan's 8th District for my entire life and it will be the honor of a lifetime to represent my community in the House of Representatives. I'm relying on grassroots contributions to fuel my campaign to victory — [so please chip in what you can right now!]( Our email list is an important tool for us to reach Democrats and activists in Michigan and around the country.
