The presidential primary results tell us what we're up against [Pamela Pugh for Congress]( Hi {NAME}, I wanted to write to you with a quick update after seeing the results around the country on in the presidential primaries this month -- including Super Tuesday. If there was any doubt before this month's election results, it’s now crystal clear – Democrats are up against President Trump and his MAGA movement in 2024. Trump will be on the ballot in November here in Michigan and in every state around the country. His MAGA supporters and followers will run in every competitive seat in the country, including in our toss-up district. Democrats everywhere need to nominate the candidates that we believe can beat Trump and his MAGA movement in November. Everything is on the line -- reproductive rights, voting rights, and the sanctity of our democratic institutions. Here in Michigan's 8th District, I know my track record speaks for itself and I am the candidate that can hold this toss-up district for Democrats. To do that, I need your help, {NAME}. [Can you pitch in $20.24 or whatever works for you to help us win the Democratic nomination for this Toss-Up seat in Congress, then beat Trump’s hand-picked MAGA nominee in November to hold the House for Democrats?]( [DONATE $1]( [DONATE $20.24]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( And to say the quiet part out loud – electing more women, more people of color, and more folks with degrees in science and expertise in public health will be critical for the future of our country – especially if the unthinkable happens and we end up with another four years of Trump after November’s election. – Dr. Pamela Pugh --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m Dr. Pamela Pugh, and I’m a Saginaw native running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District. I've spent my career fighting to improve the lives of Michigan residents through public health initiatives, and as the Chief Public Health Advisor for Flint I played a pivotal role in standing alongside Flint residents during the water crisis. As a public servant, I currently serve as the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, a statewide elected position. I believe in standing up for the people and fighting for our democracy, our children, and our future. I've lived in Michigan's 8th District for my entire life and it will be the honor of a lifetime to represent my community in the House of Representatives. I'm relying on grassroots contributions to fuel my campaign to victory — [so please chip in what you can right now!]( Our email list is an important tool for us to reach Democrats and activists in Michigan and around the country.
