Bad weeks are par for the course for [President Joe Biden]( — every week, arguably, is a low-key disaster for our Commander-in-Chief. However, this week may rank as one of the worst of his entire presidency. First, the president lost a critical advantage over Donald Trump's campaign. Second, the president's son, Hunter, is [now officially on trial]( for gun charges. And finally, on the hallowed, 80th anniversary of the Allies' D-Day invasion, Biden bumbled and stumbled his way through the commemoration. Read on for more details on Biden's nightmare week. The Daily Caller's White House Correspondent, Reagan Reese, [has the story]( Through the bad polls, disruptive protests and fitness questions, President Joe Biden has continued to have one big advantage over the Trump campaign — but it appears to be fading fast. While Biden has [battled]( concerns about his age and [backlash]( from the Israel-Hamas war, the president and the Democratic National Committee [continued]( to outraise their Republican counterparts by [millions]( of dollars. As Donald Trump [dominated]( Biden both nationally and across key swing state polls, the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign [struggled]( with [finances](. But over the last two months, the RNC and Trump campaign have started to make a dent in the cash advantage Biden once had. As Trump world continues to announce record-breaking fundraising statistics, one of Biden’s few apparent edges in a tight election could fall by the wayside, strategists told the Daily Caller. “Democrats will keep up. It’s not going to be a blowout, money wise, but they expected Trump to lose the ability to raise money by charging him with these over the top prosecutions,” Mark R. Weaver, a GOP strategist, told the Caller. “They didn’t realize that the liquid they were throwing on the fire was not water, but gasoline,” he added. Trump’s fundraising blitz started as the GOP primary wrapped up. The RNC and the campaign [raised]( $76 million in the month of April, about $25 more than Biden and the DNC. It was the first time the Trump camp surpassed their competitors in monthly fundraising. The month prior, the Biden campaign and the DNC [brought]( in $90 million, while Trump and the RNC brought in $65.6 million. In total, Trump’s camp had $93.1 million cash on hand while Biden’s team had $192 million at the end of March. May is already shaping up to be an even bigger month for the Trump campaign than before. After a Manhattan jury [convicted]( Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records, the former president’s campaign donation site crashed from an influx of visitors. The campaign later [announced]( that 24 hours after the verdict, it had raised $54.8 million. For the total month, the campaign recently announced it had raised about $141 million. FEC filings revealing fundraising totals for both campaigns in the month of May are not yet available. Also this week, some [very lurid details]( have emerged from Hunter Biden's gun trial, including a vivid description of a giant crack rock Hunter allegedly possessed: President Joe Biden's daughter-in-law took the witness stand Thursday to testify in Hunter Biden's gun trial, telling prosecutors she observed Hunter smoking a crack rock the size of a ping-pong ball. Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden who at one point [dated]( Hunter Biden, was called by prosecutors to testify about his drug use around the time of the firearm purchase at the center of the case. Hunter Biden was [indicted]( in September for allegedly making false statements on a gun purchase form and knowingly possessing a firearm while addicted to drugs. "This can’t go on, we can’t do this," Hallie said she told him, explaining they would fight about his drug use, [according]( to NBC News. She said she observed Hunter Biden possessing a crack rock the size of a ping-pong ball, [per]( The New York Times. Finally, Biden put up an extremely lackluster performance on one of the most important days of the year for America: June 6, the anniversary of D-Day. The Daily Caller's Mary Rooke has the "embarrassing" [details]( On the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, when the world honors the bravery of American soldiers who turned the tides of World War II, President Joe Biden disgraced the men – died and living – who stormed the beaches of northern France. Americans [deserve]( so much better than what we have with Biden as our president. But it is especially noticeable how far our country has fallen when, on days like the D-Day memorial, our president doesn't seem to know where he is or what he's doing and is ushered out by his wife to avoid more embarrassment. Biden was caught on a hot mic, making sure he could leave the memorial as quickly as possible. "My advance team said I got to be the first one to leave," Biden told French President Emmanuel Macron. This shouldn't be shocking to anyone who remembers the way Biden treated the 13 American service members killed at the gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Biden couldn't quit checking his watch while their bodies lying in caskets draped with American flags passed by. During the ceremony, Biden looked confused and exhausted. At one point, he tried to sit down at the wrong time, and First Lady [Jill Biden]( an accomplice in keeping the senile president in office, was forced to cover her mouth, seemingly telling him that he needed to stay standing. Biden's speech, not just the words but his delivery, was a disgrace to the memorial of these men. While the focus should have been on their bravery and what their sacrifices meant for the U.S. and the world, Biden used the 80th Anniversary to talk about how many Russians have died in Ukraine. As if this wasn't embarrassing enough for our country, while Macron was shaking hands and thanking the D-Day veterans, Biden was being ushered off stage by his wife, Jill. HOT OFF THE PRESS Green New Steal: President Joe Biden's administration has routinely touted the [Bipartisan Infrastructure Law]( as a crowning achievement of Biden's first term, because what American doesn't want better roads and bridges? However, two and a half years after Congress ratified the legislation in November of 2021, the trillions of federal dollars Biden flooded into the economy may actually be doing more harm than good, according to a new Daily Caller [report](. Worse yet, the Biden admin has completely failed to build out EV charging stations across the country, a crucial pillar of their attempt to revolutionize and "green" the U.S. economy. The charging station progress is so bad that even Ethiopia has had more success building them. Alert! Bannon Jailed: Biden's Department of Justice took another [unprecedented step]( Thursday by finally getting former Trump advisor Steve Bannon thrown in jail. Besides the Biden DOJ throwing Peter Navarro in jail for contempt of Congress, the only recent historic precedent for this shocking move remains the case of the "Hollywood Ten," writers, directors and producers who were sentenced to jail time for refusing to cooperate with the House Un-American Activities Committee. Bannon said Thursday outside the courthouse that there is "not a prison built or jail built that will ever shut me up." “They’re not going to shut up Trump, they’re not going to shut up Navarro, they’re not going to shut up Bannon, and they’re certainly not going to shut up MAGA,” Bannon [said](. “There is nothing that can shut me up and there is nothing that will shut me up.” Garland Gets Grilled: Biden's hatchet man, Attorney General Merrick Garland, testified Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee in a hearing about oversight of the DOJ. Chairman Jim Jordan grilled the top official over a May 3 filing in which special counsel Jack Smith [admitted]( that evidence had not been properly maintained by federal investigators following the August 2022 raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. “Prosecutors aren’t supposed to tamper with evidence, and it looks like that’s what he did,” Jordan said. “He changed the sequence of the documents that he seized from Mar-a-Lago.” Garland replied, “I’m sorry, that’s a false characterization,” before the Republican lawmaker cut him off, holding up an apparent printout of the filing. “Here’s what he said to the court, Mr. Attorney General,” Jordan responded, before reading from the papers. "‘There are some boxes where the order of items within the box is not the same as in the associated scans.’ He said it, I didn’t say it. He told the court that." Watch the [full exchange here](. TRENDING [Listen here](. FOR THE RECORD WaPo Self-Implodes: The Daily Caller's Gage Klipper has some wonderfully juicy details about the drama roiling D.C.'s liberal rag, The Washington Post: It's always interesting to get a whiff of another family's dirty laundry — and The Washington Post might just be the most dysfunctional family in America. Vanity Fair's sweeping expose revealed some juicy in-house drama over at The Post. With the abrupt resignation of the paper's top brass this week, the woke staffers are losing their minds. Post publisher Will Lewis stepped in to put on a show of fatherliness, attempting to quell the concerns in a staff-wide meeting. He assured staffers he wants them to be "inspired" but he can't "sugarcoat" things anymore. "We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff," he said. Drastic times call for drastic measures, and he brought in the best people he knew to right the ship. Unfortunately, they're all white men. This predictably sparked a whole lot of millennial whining. Read more of Klipper's take [here](. Dying On This Hill: The Daily Caller's Grayson Quay [breaks down]( a hilarious turn of events on the firing of left-wing hack Briahna Joy Gray from The Hill, allegedly because of her anti-Israel views: Gray, Bernie Sanders' former press secretary and one of the most unhinged leftist commentators who still enjoys anything like a mainstream platform, has been fired from her gig co-hosting The Hill's YouTube show, "Rising." And not only that, The Hill even spelled her name wrong in their termination letter, with the screenshot she posted to Twitter displaying it as "Briana." Talk about adding insult to injury. To be fair to The Hill, though, her name is ridiculous. As I was typing her name at the beginning of this story, I had to check several times to make sure I'm putting that stupid "h" where it's supposed to be. I'm sure Gray will stick around on the lefty podcast circuit. When it comes to mainstream publications and respectable debating gigs, though, she's finished. And good riddance. I don't have a problem with Gray's extremism. I like plenty of "extreme" right-wing figures. I'm pretty extreme myself. But conrast Gray with someone like Michael Knowles, who can claim that transgenderism should be "eradicated from public life" and still charm a whole panel of OnlyFans thots on the "whatever" podcast. Gray's problem isn't her takes. It's the impregnable arrogance that, in her opinion, absolves her of any need to be respectful or winsome. She's shrill, mean and proud of it.
