We all know the FBI is corrupt and incompetent. Whether it was the agency's notorious Crossfire Hurricane investigation into several members of President Trump's 2016 campaign for allegations of working with Russia, or their decades-long failure to bring deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein to justice, the FBI continues to go rogue, especially under President Joe Biden's administration. Now, new light is being shed on how the bureau handled its raid on Mar-a-Lago back in August of 2022, We all know the FBI is [corrupt and incompetent](. Now, new light is being shed on how the bureau handled its raid on Mar-a-Lago back in August of 2022, and the story is truly shocking, even for the FBI's standards. Read on to find out more. In This Week’s Patriots Newsletter - Real Big News: FBI uses props at Mar-a-Lago ... - Hot Off The Press: ... And now wants agents to spy on citizens - For The Record: MSNBC panel shocked by Trump polls Everything we do is made possible by our faithful subscribers. If you love reading the Daily Caller, [please consider joining us today.]( [JOIN US!]( REAL BIG NEWS The Daily Caller's Reagan Reese lays out the lurid details of how the FBI essentially staged a crime scene in Donald Trump's Florida mansion in a damning [original report]( The FBI brought props to its raid of President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago for classified documents that were pictured in an infamous photo taken at the alleged crime scene, according to court documents. Jay Bratt, the lead Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutor now assigned to special counsel Jack Smith's team, [a]( in a recent court filing that FBI agents brought cover sheets reading "top secret" to the raid of Mar-a-Lago to use as placeholders in their gathering of classified documents. The classified documents, however, now appear to be out of order following their seizure, both Trump's defense attorney and the special counsel have admitted, according to court documents first [reported]( by Declassified with Julie Kelly. The crime scene photo of classified documents allegedly found at Mar-a-Lago, complete with the bright red "classification" cover sheets, went viral in the weeks after the raid. Corporate media outlets breathlessly reported on the photo and the cover sheets as proof that Trump had been storing classified documents at his Florida property. “[If] the investigative team found a document with classification markings, it removed the document, segregated it, and replaced it with a placeholder sheet. The investigative team used classified cover sheets for that purpose," Bratt wrote in a recent filing. In a May filing, Waltine Nauta, Trump's defense attorney, wrote that the placeholders which the FBI brought to the scene to mark classified documents in stacks were out of place. “Following defense counsel’s review of the physical boxes…and the documents produced in classified discovery, defense counsel has learned that the cross-reference provided by the Special Counsel’s Office does not contain accurate information,” Nauta wrote, according to Kelly. “[Thirteen] boxes or containers contained documents with classification markings, and in all, over one hundred unique documents with classification markings…were seized. Certain of the documents had colored cover sheets indicating their classification status. (Emphasis added.) See, e.g., Attachment F (redacted FBI photograph of certain documents and classified cover sheets recovered from a container in the ‘45 office’)," Bratt wrote in an August 2022 court filing. Kelly writes that Bratt's original filing did not explain where those classified document sheets had come from, though later he admitted that the sheets were in fact brought to the scene by FBI agents. "In other words, in their zeal to stage a phony photo using official classified cover sheets, FBI agents might have failed to accurately match the placeholder sheet with the appropriate document. This is a potentially case-blowing mistake, particularly if the document in question is one of the 34 records that represents the basis of espionage charges against Trump," Kelly reported. In response to Nauta's filing, Bratt admitted that the placeholders had been rearranged, and that not all of them had been properly matched with the right placeholder sheet, according to a court document. “In many but not all instances, the FBI was able to determine which document with classification markings corresponded to a particular placeholder sheet,” Bratt wrote in response to the defense attorney's request for more time. HOT OFF THE PRESS Federal Bureau Of Insidious Agents: A senior official in the FBI reportedly advised agents to use its surveillance authorities against American citizens without warrants, according to an internal email obtained by WIRED. In April, FBI Deputy Director [Paul Abbate]( urged subordinates to find ways to use the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act's (FISA) Section 702 authority, which allows for warrantless surveillance under certain conditions, against "U.S. persons," [according]( to WIRED, which obtained the internal email. While the [FBI]( and [other]( [proponents]( of Section 702 have described the law as an essential tool for national security, the bureau controversially [used]( the espionage tool to target former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, a sitting member of Congress and thousands of Americans. Biden Censorship Regime Is Back: Agencies in President Joe Biden’s administration [have resumed their perceived disinformation censorship collaboration]( with social media companies, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner told reporters at a recent security conference. The administration stopped “misinformation” censorship collaboration with social media platforms after a July Missouri v. Biden ruling to prevent federal agencies from coordinating with social media companies, but recently restarted this work, Warner told reporters. He said the cooperation resumed as the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case, now called Murthy v. Missouri, in March, where multiple justices indicated they supported the Biden administration’s viewpoint that it has the right to work with platforms to combat what it believes is harmful content. Fauci Loyalist Tries To Dodge Congress: The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic [sent]( a subpoena Wednesday to compel Dr. Anthony Fauci’s senior advisor at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. David Morens, to testify in a public hearing on May 22, the Daily Caller first learned. Republican Ohio Rep. Brad Wenstrup, the chairman of the select subcommittee, will send the subpoena to Morens after the subcommittee recently uncovered evidence that suggests Morens intentionally obstructed their investigations into the origins of COVID-19 to protect Fauci. FOR THE RECORD MSDNC Shocked By Trump Poll: An MSNBC panel [grew bewildered]( at a poll indicating independent voters find President Joe Biden to be a bigger threat to democracy than former President Donald Trump. A PBS Newshour/NPR/Marist poll found 53% of independents believe Biden's second term will "weaken America," while 42% believed Trump would further harm democracy. "I find it shocking, honestly," MSNBC political analyst Susan Del Percio said. "I can't make sense of that number. I wish I could. I wish I could have some really great insight to it, but I don't know if it's an outlier or not, because the other numbers of independents are going in the right direction. So, that may be it." Kristi Noem Loses It: Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem [snapped]( at Fox Business anchor Stuart Varney who pushed her to disclose whether she is aspiring to be former President Donald Trump's running mate. Varney pressed Noem, a likely vice presidential hopeful, on whether she communicated with Trump about the scrutiny she is under involving the [fatal shooting]( of her 14-month-old puppy, Cricket, in a gravel pit. The South Dakota governor adamantly refused to disclose details of her frequent communications with the former president, and eventually snapped at the Fox host. "Enough, Stuart, this interview is ridiculous, what you're doing right now. So you need to stop. It is, it is. Let's talk about some real topics that Americans care about," Noem said.
