[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. I have to admit, with Thanksgiving coming at the early end of this year my Christmas decorating has been a little off. We decided to hold off on getting our tree, feeling that grabbing one right after Thanksgiving would be too soon. Instead, we went out that weekend and tagged a tree. In the meantime, a fake tree that normally goes in another spot is holding down the fort. I also delayed putting up our outside lights. I don't do anything too extravagant. Some white icicle lights hang from the house, while a couple of trees are wrapped in the old-fashioned big C9 bulbs. Just enough to make the house sparkle for the season. [Corsilette Christmas lights] The Corsilette display is right near a Christmas Tree Farm. Katie Landeck I do give credit to those houses that go all out and provide a show for anyone willing to drive to their neighborhood. The combination of lights and music, along with the occasional animatronics are quite impressive. At some point this season, my family will hop in the car and check some of these places out. Fortunately, I've got a guide to help. [The Journal's Katie Landeck recently compiled a list of impressive displays you can find around the state.]( also a handy map to help you locate them. And she's not done. If you have a display you're proud of or know of one that other people have got to see, drop Katie and email at klandeck@providencejournal.com. Or send me the tip and I'll pass it along. Let's make the season merry and bright. Light up your life with a subscription to The Providence Journal.
