[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. Hopefully, everyone had a good rest after a full Thanksgiving meal. For some today is a day off and for others, it's back to work. One thing that appears to be working is the state's legalized marijuana program. While the debate on legalization is still fair game as we near the one-year anniversary, it appears that legalization is becoming more mainstream in Rhode Island. To me, at least, one mark of the industry's arrival and acceptance took place when a dispensary moved to one of the state's traditional commercial strips, Route 2 in Warwick. Filled with big box stores and chain restaurants, Route 2 has long been a popular destination for stores to be located and shoppers to find them. Now among the bustling roadway is the Rise Dispensary. Previously located on Jefferson Boulevard, its new location takes it out of the shadows and among the accepted businesses we don't bat an eye at. With Dec. 1 marking the first anniversary, The Journal's Tom Mooney talked with state officials administering the legalization program to find out just how much the industry has grown. The short answer: it's growing, but how much is still to come? Find out more as Tom's story explores what's happening so far and the next steps as the industry continues to grab a foothold in Rhode Island.
