[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. To the non-birders among us, the names of birds flying above may be limited. [Cooper's hawk] The cooper's hawk is a common visitor at feeders, where it prefers to dine on other birds. Jason Major The changes are being driven by the American Ornithological Society with an eye toward making the names more descriptive, but that's not the only reason. What else is going into the change and what Rhode Island birds are in the mix for a new name? [Check out Alex's story and find out.]( This free newsletter is possible thanks to our subscribers.
