[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. Many of you are probably swimming in candy right now, but even the biggest chocolate lovers of us all can't live on M&Ms and Hershey's bars alone. Bring on sustenance, like say clam cakes and New York System Weiners. Or maybe a great Italian dish or burger. If you want to move on from candy we can help. [The celery salt is the last ingredient to go on the "all the way" weiners at the New York System, Olneyville, named a James Beard American Classic. [The Providence Journal, file / Frieda Squires]] The celery salt is the last ingredient to go on the "all the way" weiners at the New York System, Olneyville, named a James Beard American Classic. [The Providence Journal, file / Frieda Squires] The Providence Journal [Round 3 of our bracket-style poll to determine the most iconic Rhode Island food]( is now live and the matchups leave for some difficult choices. When we started this process with 16 food items, I proclaimed New York System Weiners to be number 1 and so far, my prediction is right, but now it faces off with the clam cake to reach the finals, while Del's Lemonade and pizza strips fight it out for the other place in the finals. It's a tasty final four and I'd gladly accept an invitation to a party featuring all four items on the menu. But only two can advance and that's up to you. If you're looking for something a little more substantial, you can check out "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" this Friday when two Rhode Island restaurants will be featured. I won't spoil who's being featured, but [The Journal's Gail Ciampa has all the details](. So, forget the candy and celebrate Rhode Island's food scene.
