[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. Unfortunately, the summer is about to end for school-aged kids across Rhode Island, with some headed back to school as soon as next week. And while I've certainly listened to my kids lament their return to school, the beginning of the year also represents a much happier time â the return of high school sports. With practices already underway, the team in the sports department has already kicked off coverage of the upcoming season. So what can you expect? The Journal's Eric Rueb has laid out [our fall sports coverage plan]( and it's pretty exciting. If you're really into high school football, he's even taken it further and provided a guide on [what to expect from the gridiron](. You can expect coverage across the state and everything you need to know to stay informed ahead of the next weekend's games.
