[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing. Happy Friday and as a bonus it's Cinco de Mayo. Of course, you don't need May 5 to be an excuse to enjoy Mexican or even Tex-Mex food - we pretty much have it at least once a week in our house - but it doesn't hurt. Fortunately, there are lots of quality Mexican restaurants around Rhode Island. I won't try to list them all because I'm certain I'll forget something but I've been known to frequent a couple of places around the state. Perro Salado in Newport is always a favorite and their cilantro-jalapeno margarita is crave-worthy. Closer to home takeout from Caliente - which may be an option tonight after an evening at a cold Little League baseball field - or a meal at Condesa, both just over the Warwick line in West Warwick, are often a suggestion when deciding on a non-home-cooked meal. At bottom left is a chicken tostada, and at right is a huarache with chorizo and steak. Sandor Bodo, The Providence Journal, file If you're in the Providence area, you're also in luck.
