For most of the election season, former Cranston mayor Allan Fung led the polls and national pundits were wondering if Rhode Island would send a Republican to Congress. Then less than two weeks before Election Day the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced their poll showed the race was neck-and-neck. Seems the momentum continued in Magaziner's favor as he pulled out the victory with Fung conceding Tuesday night. Turns out most wanted it. Based on the unofficial results four communities rejected the retail option. Another two have a vote that appears to close to call.
