Brian Blake, [has withdrawn from consideration](. Should veterinarians be allowed to prescribe medical marijuana for pets living with chronic pain? A bill in the Rhode Island House of Representatives [would allow it]( but federal law seems to stand in the way. For the second time in two months, Attorney General Peter Neronha [is criticizing the Coastal Resources Management Council]( over the way it handled a waterfront development project. The latest case involves the proposed expansion of the Jamestown Boat Yard. The state has still not provided its daily update of coronavirus data, which would cover new cases identified over the weekend. It is, however, continuing to expand vaccine eligibility. This week, all Rhode Islanders at least 40 years old [will be able to sign up for an appointment]( as will all residents of additional hard-hit zip codes. The state fire marshal says that some of the igloos that have sprung up outside restaurants [may not comply with the state's fire code]( The Providence Catholic Diocese [is merging three parishes]( in Warwick as a result of declining attendance and a shortage of priests. Finally, our veterans columnist Mary Talbot has an interview with Tim Gray, who is in [a race against time]( to preserve the stories of this nation's World War II veterans. Have a great night.
