[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at [The Providence Journal]( and this is the Daily Briefing. For close to five years a pair of brothers from Little Compton have sought to start an oyster farm in the Sapowet Marsh in Tiverton. The effort though has led to fights over the proposal as some residents have attempted to keep the farm from ever happening. Along the way, both sides have sought a decision from the Coastal Resources Management Council, but one has never come. With the matter floating along without a resolution, the General Assembly has gotten involved over the years with a series of bills proposed that would have the potential to determine the oyster farms fate, yet those bills failed to gain traction, until this year. In this week's Political Scene, The Journal's Antonia Farzan examines a bill passed during the recent legislation session that could kill the proposal, maybe.
