[@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at [The Providence Journal]( and this is the Daily Briefing. Maybe it's a stereotype, but it seems like there aren't many people who come away from the DMV with a happy story to tell. Journal contributor Frank Lennon has a story that will at least partially debunk that theory and leave you with a smile on your face. Lennon pens our "Veterans Voice" column and this week shares the story of Ed Campbell, a 79-year-old Vietnam veteran from Tiverton, who wanted to get one of the state's special veteran license plates. As anyone would, Campbell placed his order and when they were ready went to the Middletown DMV to pick them up. When he opened the plates, though, there was disappointment. [Standing in the driveway of his Tiverton home, Vietnam combat veteran Ed Campbell holds his Bronze Star plate starting with “4F”. In Selective Service jargon, 4F means “Unfit for military service.”] Standing in the driveway of his Tiverton home, Vietnam combat veteran Ed Campbell holds his Bronze Star plate starting with “4F”.
