When the Florida Supreme Court upheld Ron DeSantis' already-unconstitutional 15-week ban last month, they gave the green light for his even worse six-week trigger ban to take effect. Even when 1 in 3 people only find out they're pregnant after six weeks have already passed. Even when there are almost no exceptions for rape and incest. Even when 75% of Florida voters oppose such extreme measures. We haven't even gone a full day under this law, but one day is too many. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks so: abortion is a winning issue, and we've seen it in every election, red state or blue, since Roe v. Wade was overturned. So this is not the end of our fight for abortion rights. It's just the beginning. We can save our pro-choice Senate majority and codify reproductive freedom nationwide, but it starts with kicking out extremists standing in the way, like Sen. Rick Scott.
