[] [] [] [] Why Apple Reportedly Abandoning EVs Is Good News for the Stock We got reports this week that Apple abandoned its long-time plans to build a branded electric car to enter the EV market. Per Reuters: The move draws the curtain on a plan that would have helped Apple break out into a new industry and potentially replicate the success of the iPhone. The project had seen uneven progress throughout its life and its end comes as global automakers cut back their investments in electric vehicles, whose demand has dropped significantly. While this move essentially flushes a decade’s worth of time, work and money, it’s [ultimately good news for a stock]( that’s been struggling and a company that lost its spot as the most valuable in the world to Microsoft. The decision to get out makes sense to me. It’s smart to cut losses, even though I’m sure this was a tough decision to make after pouring so many resources into it. The stock immediately rose a few bucks following the news before continuing to drift lower to close the week down about 2.3%. Like I said, Apple has been struggling, but we’ve been doing well in our Perfect Apple Trade strategy, which of course plays both sides depending on what signals I’m seeing. So far since Nov. 3, we’ve made six trades, winning four, and the average return including winners and losers is 70.86% in an average 20-day hold time.
