[] [View in browser]( [View in browser]( [] AUG 29 2023 [] [] SCOTT WELSH’S TICKER TALES This Oil-Related Stock Could Break Out (but set your targets now) Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the Oil & Gas sector has been on a wild ride. It’s been incredibly hot and also ice cold, depending on when you happened to peek at it. But right now, it’s hot once again. Further, ticker NOV (which makes and sells oil and gas equipment) has formed a tight consolidation in the past month, and breakout traders love that more than sliced bread. Here’s a chart: [] A break above $20.98 could lead to a quick move up to the $25 level. With many stocks, we’re better served letting them run as far as possible. With Oil & Gas, many times it’s better to have a profit target in mind. Emotions run high in this cohort, and reversals are plentiful. We’ll keep an eye on it. — Scott Welsh P.S. As a reminder, these plays are based on my longer-term Weinstein Stage Analysis method. The charts above use weekly candles and a 30 week simple moving average. [] [] MICAH LAMAR Apple's Big Reveal: What's Next and What It Means for AAPL Investors The tech world is buzzing, and for a good reason. Apple has just sent out invites for its much-anticipated launch event on September 12th. And if the grapevine is to be believed, we're on the brink of meeting the new iPhone 15. Exciting times, right? Now, if you're anything like me, Apple's launch events are more than just a showcase of shiny new gadgets. They're a glimpse into the company's direction, innovation, and — let's be real, a potential shakeup in the stock market. Every time Apple unveils a new product, especially something as iconic as the iPhone, it sends ripples through the tech industry and the stock market. Reflecting on the past, Apple stock has had a fascinating dance after product announcements. Sometimes it surges, riding the wave of positive reviews and consumer excitement. Other times, it takes a moment to digest the news, pausing before making its next move. But one thing's for sure: these launches often signal the start of what I refer to as "profit cycles." For the uninitiated, Apple's stock doesn't just move in a straight line. It has its rhythms, its highs and lows, which I've coined as "profit cycles." And these product launches? They're often a catalyst, kickstarting a new cycle. Whether it's a surge of investor confidence or a momentary dip as the market processes the news, there's movement. And for those in the know, this movement can be a golden opportunity. So, as we gear up for September 12th, what can we expect? Well, if the iPhone 15 is indeed on the horizon, we're looking at a potential game-changer. Apple has always been at the forefront of innovation, and a new iPhone could bring with it groundbreaking features that set the tech world abuzz. But beyond the specs and the sleek designs, it's the market's reaction that I've got my eye on… Will AAPL stock surge in anticipation? Will it pause, waiting to gauge the public's reaction? Or will it dip, only to rise again? These are the questions that make trading AAPL so intriguing. If you're curious about how to navigate these waters, I've got something for you. I've put together a video where I dive deep into AAPL's profit cycles, breaking down how they work and how I’ve been playing them to my advantage. Once you understand these cycles, trading AAPL becomes a whole new ball game. Curious? [Click here to check it out](.
