One way would be to rein in spending. But that would cause pain in the short term and pointing the blame at Congress would be easy. The other way is to continue spending until the currency collapses in a hyperinflationary inferno. That makes any debt issued prior to the collapse worthless which is great for highly indebted voters as well as for the government. The political ramifications of “Option 2” are much lower, so it’s a safe bet that “more spending” will always win the day. We covered this topic in today’s “Roundtable” with guests Celeste Lindman, Garrett {NAME}, and Roger Scott. To make sure you don’t miss next Wednesday’s live session, please be sure to [mark your calendars](. I look forward to seeing you next week. [] [] JEFFRY TURNMIRE’S CHART OF THE WEEK 🎥 Keep an Eye on Boeing In this week’s chart, Boeing has made a beautiful retrace down to the Roadmap line and started to bounce back up. We have some resistance where price was rejected several times on the way down, so that makes the conservative entry above that resistance around $212. [] That’s followed by more resistance to watch out for at the prior high of 218.81. But if Boeing can clear all that then $225 is my upside target based on the Market Roadmap pattern. You want to wait for the entry because the pattern all breaks down if Boeing breaks below $190. Make sure you move your stop up as we get to the prior highs. Price might not make it through this time either. I expect this setup to play out into the mid to late summer.
