Bring HOPE to the mothers and babies who need it most Dear Friend, Hi, my name is Banneh. As a Proje

Bring HOPE to the mothers and babies who need it most [Your $1 = $2 to help Banneh meet her $50,000 goal for moms, babies and families around the world. DONATE >>]( [Project HOPE Logo]( [Match My Gift]( [2X the HOPE for Mother’s Day]( [Hygiene kit distribution by Project HOPE partner High Atlas Foundation in Amizmiz, Morocco] [Goal: $50,000]( [Hygiene kit distribution by Project HOPE partner High Atlas Foundation in Amizmiz, Morocco] [Deadline: May 12, 2024]( [Esther Saspo, a nurse at Campbell Town Maternal Child Health Post in Campbell Town, Sierra Leone.]( Dear Friend, Hi, my name is Banneh. As a Project HOPE Program Officer in Sierra Leone, my goal is to make sure more new mothers and babies survive. Here, maternal and neonatal health workers must deal with dangerous shortages of medicines, equipment and even clean water. Sierra Leone set a goal to reduce the maternal mortality rate from its current 443 deaths per 100,000 births. There’s still a long way to go, and the tragedy is that nearly all these deaths can be prevented if women are reached with the right information and skilled care. That’s where the compassion of supporters like you come in. I’ve set a personal goal to help mothers in Sierra Leone and families in need of health care across the world. In honor of Mother’s Day in the U.S., please help me raise $50,000 for Project HOPE by Sunday, May 12. [During this time, a generous group of Project HOPE supporters will double any gift you make to help us make an even bigger lifesaving impact!]( [Will you help me meet my goal of raising $50,000 with your gift today?]( [Match My Gift]( Together we can do more to save lives and support inspiring health workers like Esther, pictured above. As a nurse in a rural village here in Sierra Leone, she delivers about 30 babies every month in a small concrete delivery room at her clinic. If there’s an emergency — if they are bleeding, or if the baby must be delivered via C-section — mothers must find transportation for the long ride to the hospital, which might mean riding on the back of a motorbike. “In this community there are a lot of first-time mothers,” Esther says. “Most of them are teenagers. Some are as young as 14. Some of them are afraid to come to the clinic because of the stigma. We encourage them.” When you help me reach my goal with a gift to Project HOPE, we can provide more support to health workers like Esther AND reach more mothers and families with lifesaving care and education. [I hope you’ll take a moment to join me today to do even more to save lives around the world and help me reach my $50,000 goal.]( Project HOPE’s maternal, child and neonatal health programs have been saving lives since 1985. We have made so much progress, but there is still so much to be done here and in communities around the world like Gaza, Ukraine and the Dominican Republic. [Please be as generous as you can when every dollar brings 2X the healing and HOPE!]( I have seen the impact that HOPE can have, and I know that your gift can make a lifesaving difference to mothers, babies and families.
