Hear from our teams on the ground, and find out how to support health workers worldwide Almost six months of conflict have had catastrophic effects on health care workers in Gaza. Please help support them and families facing devastating health crises. [Make a gift >>]( [Project HOPE Logo]( [Give Now]( [Gaza’s Health Care Workers Need Support Now]( [Help provide care, medicines]( [and aid by 4/3]( Dear Friend of Project HOPE, I’m Project HOPE’s Deputy Director of Emergency Preparedness & Response, which just means that I manage the operations and deployment of our emergency teams. I’m writing to you today to share the conditions that our team members (and their communities) in Gaza are facing. After nearly six months of conflict, people are starving and stranded. Dr. Maram, our Lead Physician in Deir al Balah, told us: “As infectious diseases spread in crammed areas and food becomes even scarcer, we will see more and more people going hungry... I worry every day that I won’t find anything to eat.” The need for care and relief in Gaza and around the world is urgent and can be hard to predict, but your generosity helps save lives. [Today, I urge you to help those devastated by violence and hunger by making a gift.]( [Give Now]( [ Project HOPE's team in Gaza providing medical care at a short-term medical clinic in a school housing displaced families in Rafah. ]( [Your generosity as a Project HOPE supporter can help sustain our lifesaving work like:]( ➥ The clinic we established here in Deir al Balah. Since opening in early December 2023, we’ve treated nearly 7,000 patients, including severely malnourished children and pregnant women. ➥ The two additional clinics in Rafah that, in just the first few weeks of operation, treated 3,000 displaced Palestinians who hadn’t had access to health care for months. ➥ The teams of trauma and emergency care specialists we’ve deployed to Al Aqsa Hospital. ➥ The mental health care and hygiene supplies we’ve provided to Gazans, Israelis and communities across the world. [Give Now]( Friend, every single person in Gaza, including those trying to help, are at risk of dying from violence, hunger or disease. We need a ceasefire and the return of the hostages now. Despite ongoing violence, our Gaza teams are dedicated to continuing to provide relief to children and families. But we need your urgent support. [Please make your first gift today.]( With my gratitude, [Chessa Latifi Headshot ] Chessa Latifi, Deputy Director of Emergency Preparedness & Response Project HOPE [Give Now]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [LinkedIn]( [YouTube]( [TikTok]( [ProjectHOPE.org]( PO Box 3270, Harlan IA 51593-0450 | 844.[349.0188](#) © 2024 Project HOPE.
