Hi {NAME}, In the last few months alone, Greg Abbott has done more than enough harm to Texas to disqualify him from office. He did nothing while hundreds of his own constituents froze to death in a winter storm, unleashed a flood of guns into Texas communities with a dramatic rollback of gun licensing laws, and undermined American democracy by refusing to accept Biden as the legitimate president. Abbott is trying to rig the election laws in Texas in his favor to make up for his unpopularity. Texas Democrats avoided the same fate as Georgia when they defeated a new voter suppression law pushed by Abbott by walking out of the vote. But that's a temporary solution in an ongoing battle against some of the strictest voter suppression laws in the country. Republicans know that this conservative stronghold is becoming a battleground state, so they're pulling out all the stops to keep progressives from voting. But Beto O'Rourke is no stranger to calling out Republican corruption. He recently said to fellow Texans about the GOP, “These jokers can't even keep the lights on, or the heat on, or the water on when the temperature drops. Now they want to take away our election?” Since running a historic underdog race for Senate against Ted Cruz in 2018, O'Rourke has dedicated himself to turning out voters nationwide, building a stronger Texas, and keeping Americans informed on holding our government accountable. Now O'Rourke is thinking about running against Greg Abbott. He is the leader Texas needs. We want him to know the American people have his back. Please, let us know where you stand: Should Beto O'Rourke run for governor? [YES]( [NO]( Beto O'Rourke is our best hope to finally turn Texas blue. Thanks for weighing in and helping us send Texas a message.
