{NAME} -- We need to be clear about the threat facing our country. Republicans know they can't win if they play fair, so they are rolling out what NBC is calling a “tidal wave of voter suppression” in red AND blue states. There are at least 253 bills in 43 states that will restrict access to the polls or deny some voters access all together if we let them. And it's not at all surprising that almost all of these bills spring from the baseless conspiracy theories pushed by President Trump and his radical allies. Voter suppression tactics like those proposed or enacted in Georgia, Arizona, and Texas are craven attempts by the GOP to disenfranchise voters, especially voters of color. The GOP is TERRIFIED of losing even more elections, so they're racing to rig the system. These bills have the potential to destroy democracy, and they will ensure Republicans will control all levels of government for years -- even though their voting base is in the minority. That means more tax cuts for wealthy corporations, more conservative judges striking down progressive legislation, and more erosion of the rule of law. Our democracy is at stake. The good news is that Democrats pulled off historic victories in 2020 despite voter suppression efforts. If we build our movement now, we can win again in 2022. But we need to organize to fight back, and we don't yet have the finances to build our momentum. [We are $987 short of our daily fundraising goal. Will you chip in to help get us across the finish line?]( We couldn't do the work we do without you. With your help, we're going to not only beat back these dirty GOP tactics, we're going to elect leaders up and down the ballot who want to expand voting rights and help our country live up to its true values.
