Senator Ron Johnson: Black Lives Matter is a violent threat -- Capitol rioters "love this country"

“I knew those were people that love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break the law, and so I wasn't concerned … had the tables been turned, and President Trump won the election and those were tens of thousands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters, I might have been a little concerned.” Those are the words of Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, one of Trump's most loyal supporters in the Senate, on the Capitol riots that threatened our democracy and left five people dead. Over two months later, Johnson is still making racist comments and spreading conspiracy theories, all to stay in Trump's good graces. He's even claimed that the rioters were harmless because of their “jovial, friendly demeanor!” Senators who think that only white Trump supporters “love this country” have no place sitting in our government -- and soon, we have the power to vote Johnson out.
