Hi {NAME}, Charlie Spies, a GOP election lawyer, got heckled at CPAC for denying that there was voter fraud in the 2020 election. His simple, truthful comment -- “There is just zero evidence that's true” -- earned him shouts from the Trump-supporting crowd and ridicule from the other members of the panel he was speaking on. It's more clear than ever that the GOP would rather buy into Trump's twisted fantasy than believe in facts and integrity. And they're following up their jeers with action. State Republican parties are rolling out 253 voter suppression bills this year, because they know that when more Americans have a say in our democracy, they lose. If everyone could vote safely and easily, they would never win another election -- which is why they're determined to make voting as difficult as possible. It would be easy to ignore and dismiss the GOP - after all, we won decisive victories in 2020 and we're ready to vote Trump and his cronies down again. But even in 2020, voters -- especially Black voters -- reported having to wait for hours on end to vote. Some voters in Georgia waited for 11 hours. And according to the L.A. Times, Georgia officials cut polling places by nearly 10%. With a strong Democratic majority in our legislature in 2022, we could pass legislation like the For The People Act and protect voting rights in our democracy for good -- but we're running out of the funds we need to counter the GOP's onslaught of attacks. [You've done your part for our democracy so many times already, but we need you to step up one more time again. We need to raise $2,832 this week to tear down the GOP's tower of racist hurdles to the ballot box. Please, chip in and help us fight back and stop the Republican Party from rigging next year's elections. We CAN defend our majority and keep them from taking control, but we urgently need your help to do it.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $500]( [DONATE OTHER]( This is the fight of a generation, and because of you, we know we can succeed.
