Hi {NAME}, If there’s one person who deserves to loathe Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans more than anyone, it’s Judge Merrick Garland. President Obama nominated the deeply qualified jurist to serve on the Supreme Court in 2016, but Mitch wielded his GOP Senate majority to keep him waiting in the halls of the Capitol, denying him even the courtesy of a hearing. Now, Garland is poised to become the nation’s top lawyer -- President-elect Joe Biden will nominate him to be attorney general. And with the Senate slipping out of the Republicans’ grasp after Democratic victories in Georgia, the man who kept Garland down will now be powerless to stop his confirmation. We know Republicans will still oppose Judge Garland just as strongly as they did in 2016 -- if not more. That’s why we need to make a strong showing of support for the judge who will be Biden’s attorney general. Do you approve of Merrick Garland as our next attorney general?
