Hi, {NAME} -- Amy Coney Barrett is about to be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Over two days of questioning, the American people were able to get a taste of what her jurisprudence will be like -- largely through her pointed silences. As the New York Times observed, “she would not say whether separating children from their parents to deter immigration was wrong, whether President Trump can delay the election or pardon himself, or even, in a series of particularly notable responses, whether climate change is real. Nor would she say whether a host of Supreme Court decisions, including ones on abortion and gay rights, were ripe for reconsideration.” With Barrett on the court, the Republicans will have secured a 6-3 majority in their favor. But having a conservative majority on SCOTUS doesn’t mean Democrats shouldn’t hold out hope for change. With the high levels of Democratic voter turnout we’re already seeing, we have a good chance of flipping the Senate, expanding our reach in the House, and taking back the Oval Office. That future isn’t a guarantee, though, and it doesn’t change the fact that Barrett’s nomination will galvanize the GOP in this most crucial hour of the fight. Progressive Majority is working around the clock to make sure progressive candidates nationwide (and especially in battleground states) have the resources they need to win their seats -- but we’re running low on funds. If we don’t close the gap by raising another $1,814 by midnight, we’ll have to scale back our campaign contributions, and Republicans could take the lead at the very moment when we should be quashing their chances. [You know how imperative it is that we kick Trump out of the White House on November 3 -- and gain back control of Congress while we’re at it. Our climate, healthcare, bodily autonomy, and civil rights are all on the line. That’s why, with just over a week left until Election Day, we’re asking you to step up to the plate and donate whatever you can to the cause. Your contribution has a direct impact on the future of our nation. We can’t win this fight without you.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $500]( [DONATE OTHER]( You’re supporting Democrats up and down the ticket and all across the country -- and you have our deepest, sincerest gratitude.
