Hi {NAME}, The New York Times has reported that ?President Trump has selected Judge Amy Coney Barr

Hi {NAME}, The New York Times has reported that “President Trump has selected Judge Amy Coney Barrett, the favorite candidate of conservatives, to succeed Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and will try to force Senate confirmation before Election Day.” Judge Barrett has condemned the decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act. She’s opposed reproductive rights and criticized Roe v. Wade as permitting abortion on demand. She’s 48 years old -- and if she lives as long as Justice Ginsburg, she’s set to shape the future of this country for the next four decades. Here’s the unfortunate truth: we may not be able to stop Judge Barrett’s confirmation. But we can make the GOP rue the day they ever brought her nomination to a vote -- in the words of MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, “If they are willing to pay any price for this Supreme Court seat...make the price as high as possible.” That sounds like a plan to us -- if the GOP wants SCOTUS, it should come at the cost of them never stepping foot in the White House or in Congress ever again. But CNN has reported that “Top Senate Republicans are privately arguing that it would boost their chances of holding the majority in November if their party makes a full-throated effort at confirming President Donald Trump's pick for the Supreme Court.” The GOP are hoping this September surprise changes the whole race for them -- and they could be right. Even worse, we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for campaign funds. It’s no one’s fault -- your support has been constant throughout this campaign -- but no one expected this. We simply don’t have the money we need to defend the House, flip the Senate, and kick Trump out of the White House. We’re asking you because you’re someone who takes action in moments of crisis. You’re not a spectator. You’re an engaged Democrat and an active participant in our political process -- and in the writing of American history. We need you to help us take action now. [The more you give, the higher we can make the price Republicans will have to pay for this Supreme Court seat. They’re going to throw everything they’ve got at us -- so we’re asking for everything you’ve got. Your support will go straight toward punishing the GOP for this illegitimate power grab -- and toward locking Trump and his loyalists out of government for years to come.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $500]( [DONATE OTHER]( If we can make the price the GOP has to pay high enough, they could live to regret this nomination for the rest of their days. But if we take no action, Republicans could get four decades of Justice Barrett -- and we could get nothing but a front-row seat to our country’s collapse. Thank you for making sure it’s the Republicans who collapse. Thank you for fighting for a progressive majority. - Progressive Majority [DONATE]( Progressive Majority PAC is leading the fight against Trump's dangerous and divisive agenda by helping elect progressive Democrats to Congress and protecting the gains we made in the midterms.
