Check out the [blog post]( to find out who won some new shiny Product Hunt swag. PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT [ChatGPT in your pocket]( ChatGPT in your pocket. That’s right, yesterday, kind of out of the blue, [Open AI announced]( that ChatGPT had hit the iOS App Store, allowing users to access the AI chatbot on the go. According to the company, [the new app]( is free to use with no ads, has GPT-4 access built in for plus subscribers, and also incorporates voice input technology, although “hey ChatGPT” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as “hey Siri.” Power users will be happy to hear that the mobile app syncs your history across your devices, meaning it can pull the previous conversations you’ve had with the web client and make them accessible – on the go. Siri has a challenger: With Apple’s seemingly radio silence and lack of progress on the AI front, coupled with Siri’s existing issues, the new ChatGPT presents an interesting future where we might see iPhone users opting to replace Apple’s voice assistant with ChatGPT. As mentioned above, “hey ChatGPT” doesn’t have the same ring to it, but given the feature set the app comes with, combined with the household name it boasts, it wouldn’t be too surprising if it gave Siri a run for its money. Who knows, it could bolster Apple to double down on its AI efforts to wade off the challenger. Win-win for us, the consumer. If you want to try it out, the ChatGPT mobile app is currently only available in the US but will be expanding shortly, and an Android app is on the horizon.
