Immediately after this photo, I turned to talk to my kiddo, and when I turned back, Luna was happily dragging her leash behind her, trotting off to the edge of the park (and the street beyond). 😨 (Apparently when I clipped her leash around the tree, the clip didn't fully lock in place and somehow managed to pop off.) When we've practiced recalls in the past, she's excellent at responding when we're inside the house, but not so great at responding outside. But for some lucky reason, I reacted more like I do when my kids are in danger, and called her in a really excited, happy voice. Thankfully, she bounded right over, and she got lots of pets and pup treats.
